STUDIO FOTOKINO / MARSEILLE
While in Marseille, there were many interesting exhibitions happening under the umbrella of PAC (Marseille contemporary art expo), which also included our AMATEURS exhibition. Although I couldn’t visit many exhibitions due to our show preparation, I managed to stop by at Studio Fotokino to check out zines and books.
Contrary to their small entrance, the space was open and spacious. It felt very inviting with so much light. Its exhibition titled <INK – Éditions Singuliéres> was showcasing alternative and independent publishers of art books and zines. Few familiar names which I admire – FP&CP, Nieves – and many unfamiliar names which I was happy to discover – Automatic Books, Corners, Hato Press, Théophile’s Papers, Editora Aplicação.
The exhibition runs till May 29, 2016.
